My Eye Earn Affiliates
I am happy to note that after a few weeks of effort, I have managed to persuade 5 people to join Eye Earn as my Personally Sponsored Affiliates (PSA). And on top of that, 1 of them have managed to recruit another 2 PSAs. Not bad for a newbie, huh?
I used SFI's Eye Earn X-Cards for my recruiting and boy do they really work!
They were really impressed with it. Their perception of the program were really enhanced by it. Come to think of it, their perception of the program was greatly improved once they saw the Eye Earn banner on my truck, as well as the Eye Earn website.
I don't know about other parts of the world but here in Malaysia, perception and first impressions are the key towards recruiting more members. I just can't wait for my SFI Cash Card Prepaid Mastercard. That will really knock their socks off! I have not heard of any other Malaysian-based affiliate program that offers that kind of service. When I get my card, I'll be sure to whip it out from my wallet and show anyone even remotely interested about making money on the internet.

Reviews and such...
Hi!
I'm still working on my e-book project folks. I'm now at that crucial stage where things will start to happen. All my materials have been gathered. My outline has been made. "Now comes the deep breath before the plunge". (Any guesses where I got that quote from? Hehehe...)
Anyway, I got my first bad review from Linkreferral. Apparently, it is "not very informative". That's it. Three words. Hmmm...
Personally, I would have preferred if the review, good or bad, would have been a little bit more constructive. It's just as bad if you reviewed a site and wrote "nice site!". It's a compliment but come on folks, a bit more effort wouldn't kill you.
The thing that makes Linkreferral a good system is that its members are given the opportunity to express their views. Use it folks! Take up the challenge! In the end, we all benefit.
For instance, I got this review from the webmaster of this blog. I am going to quote the whole review below.
Good site. I like your content as it's very informative and helpful. The site is clean and well thought out when placing things. At least it seems that way as they are easy to find. Nice reads and I have added to my favorite to come back and check in. Great job. Only suggestion or comment I might add is have you considered a background colour? Nothing severe or shocking just something to eliminate the white and compliment your content. Even just a beige or tan might do it. Maybe play around with a few and see what you think? Just a thought..
See what I mean? Put aside the fact that she wrote a complimentary review. It is evident that she has given a bit of thought into writing this review. That would mean that she has actually read this blog and was able to give a helpful comment. “Great site.” and “Good job.” just isn’t going to cut it folks. Be honest! That’s all I’m saying.

Working on my first E-Book project
I've been busy lately. If you are a regular reader, I must apologize. I'm currently working on my own e-book and that has been taking a huge chunk of my free time.
I'm targeting first year college students. I believe that they are a huge untapped market, especially here in Malaysia. Most of them are internet savvy and are always on the lookout for some extra income. (We've all been there before, right?)
The looming prospect of paying back their student loans alone would be a real incentive for them to try out any opportunity to make a few extra bucks. However, due to their age and a few other circumstances, the opportunity to earn an income from an internet based business is beyond the reach for most of them.
Positive exposure to this huge opportunity is also lacking. Most of them associate any form of internet based business with scams and get-rich-quick-schemes. I can personally confirm this as I have been doing my own little unscientific 'survey' (I hang out with them a lot.). A recent exposure of an internet get-rich-quick-scheme in Malaysia didn't help either. And don't get me started on those Nigerian e-mail nonsense!
However, hopefully with my e-book, I can give them a clearer picture on the huge opportunities from legitimate and reputable internet based businesses. Companies like SFI, EBay, Amazon have been doing business for years.
I can show them how they can benefit from all these fabulous opportunities and still have time for their studies. The positive side of the internet! How a few minutes a day may have a lifetime of impact on their future income.
So, if I haven't been updating my blog for a while, I hope you will understand.
See you soon.

TrafficG's targeted traffic system

Hi!
I've been using TrafficG for a while now and it has been quite promising. A large chunk of visitors to this blog does come from them. However, I'm not going to talk about that. What I'm interested is their 'Geographic and Interest Driven Targeting' system.
When I set up my account, I was able to choose from where my visitors would come from. Naturally, I chose North America. (Who wouldn't? World's largest market and high internet penetration) At first, I was a bit skeptical. Would it work?
It does work! Almost half of my visitors are Americans and an additional 10% are Canadians. That has given me an idea. What if, I set up another blog that would mirror this one exactly but written in another language? Hindi and Chinese perhaps? India and China are HUGE and relatively untapped. I could then market my programs to them.
I wonder...
Anyway, if you would like to take a look at the sites I'm promoting on TrafficG, please take a look and see what you think of it.

Do you feel lucky?
I had a few hours to kill today at the office, so I logged on into my TrafficSwarm account to earn a few credits. (The boss had to go out and meet a big client! Wooohooo!) From what I have experienced, there seems to be a knack to getting a bit more credits than usual. I have seen that if you click on the links that are a bit 'off topic' from the links that you have stated as your preferred category, you tend to get more than your usual 1 or 2 credits.
Let's say that your preferred category of sites that you choose is 'Hobbies and Leisure'. You will be presented with sites that fall under that category. But once in a while, a site that has nothing to do with that category is presented. If you click on it, more often than not, you will be rewarded with more than your usual 1 or 2 credits. Personally, I've gotten quite good at spotting these 5 credit wonders. However, having said that, I have to warn you that it won't work all the time.
And that's not all. Sometimes, when you least expect it, you'll get a huge amount of credits that way! I once earned 500 credits just by clicking on a site that sold cookware! It happened again today. I clicked on a site promoting, of all things, camping gear. 250 credits earned. That sure made my day!
I wonder if this is a glitch in the system or TrafficSwarm's way of encouraging their members to be more 'adventurous'?
Try it. If you are a TrafficSwarm member, I'm sure you would have noticed this.
If you would like more information about TrafficSwarm, you can click on the link below. It's a free-to-join traffic generating program.

HIGH QUALITY traffic
Just to update you on my participation in the Linkreferral.com program. So far, its been great. I'm getting a lot of quality feedback from other participants in the program. They have been very helpful and quite sincere.
One of the most valuable responses that I have gotten was that I should keep on posting more of my personal experiences in this field. Thanks a lot folks! I really appreciate it. I'll keep on posting my experiences here so that you can gain from my experiences as well as learn from my mistakes.
On that note, I think joining the Linkreferral.com has been the best way of promoting my blog as well as my website. Fellow Linkreferral.com members have been very helpful in pointing out my shortcomings. They have also encouraged me to do better and especially to not give up.
Thanks guys! I don't personally know any of you but your words of encouragement and constructive criticisms have really helped me a lot!
If you are a webmaster or a blogger and you are looking to drive QUALITY traffic to your site, I recommend that you join the Linkreferral.com program wholeheartedly! They are the best!

LeadsLeap Advanced LinkCloaker

Hi!
LeadsLeap has introduced a Link Cloaking service for its members. Its a feature that LeadsLeap provides to all their members, even their free ones. As a newbie, the prospect of losing my commissions due to 'link theft' has sent a shiver down my spine. I'm still working out how the system works but I'll update you as soon as I can.

My FIRST Website
If you thought that that I was excited about making $8.95 (see preceeding post), wait till you read this!
I finally took the plunge and set up my first website! Wooooohoooooo!
It's at www.zackbargains.com
If you are a veteran in this field of business, I'm sure you would have recognised that it is actually part of the Plug-In Profit program. If I had heard of this program earlier, I would have joined up sooner.
The best part of it is that Plug-In Profit recommends that I join 6 programs (affiliate, traffic generation) and I have joined 3 of those programs independently before I joined Plug-In Profit. Those long hours researching the background of the programs I joined really paid off! Incidentally, those programs are by SFI, Leisure Audio Books and TrafficSwarm.
So, I guess from now on, I will have to commit more of my time into this new venture. No more late nights with the boys (unless its to promote my business), no more lounging in front of the TV, no more wasting my time.
Wish me luck folks...

My first commission!
I am so excited today! I just got my very first commission from SFI!
It's not much though. Just $8.95 for last March. I must say that this is an encouraging start for me. For a while there, I thought that I wasn't going anywhere. From now on, I will start devoting more of my time to this new and exciting venture. (I'm still in my learning phase and doing this part time folks)
I'm still pinching myself. After days and days of looking at an empty Commission Report, I feel absolutely vindicated and elated. Hard work does pay off folks.
(Am I getting a bit too excited over $8.95?)
